Explanation ابتداء زمانے میں قرآن پاک پر نقطے اور اعراب نہیں لگے ہوتے تھے، لوگ بغیر نقطے اور اعراب کے ہی قرآن پاک پڑھ لیتے تھے، لیکن جب عجمی لوگ کثرت سے اسلام میں داخل ہوئے اور انہیں بغیر اعراب کے قرآن پڑھنے میں مشقت ہونے لگی، تو حضرت ابو الاسود دؤلیؒ نے قرآن پاک پر نقطے اور اعراب (حرکات) لگانے کی ابتداء فرمائی، اس کے بعد حجاج ابن یوسف کے حکم سے تین حضرات (حسن بصری، یحییٰ بن یعمر، نصر بن عاصم) نے اس کی تکمیل فرمائی۔
