Abdullah Yusuf Ali (1872-1953) was a British-Indian Islamic scholar, translator, and educator. He is best known for his English translation of the Quran , which is widely used and respected. Abdullah Yusuf Ali was the principal of Islamia College Lahore , which is now known as Islamia College, Peshawar .
