Hazrat Ali (RA) belonged to the tribe Quraish and the family of Bani Hashim in Makah . Hazrat Ali is also known as Abu Turab. Title: Lion of Allah means Asadullah. He was born In the Holy Kabah in Mecca on Friday, 13th Rajab 23 BH . He (RA) was the son of Hazrat Abu Talib (RA) the uncle of the Holy Prophet (SAW) Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib (R.A) was a cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib (R.A) ruled as the fourth caliph from 656 until his Shahadat in 661 .
