Explanation
70 Hafiz-e-Quran were martyred in the Battle of Yamama . In this battle, 1,200 Muslims were killed , including 360 memorizers of the Quran . The Battle of Yamama was fought during the era of Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA). The battle took place in December 632 CE (Ramadan, 11 AH). This battle was fought against the false prophet Musaylimah. Hazrat Usman (RA) was the first Hafiz of the Holy Quran. Hazrat Hafsah bint-e-Umar (RA) was the first woman to memorize the entire Holy Quran.
