Explanation
The Treaty of Sèvres was signed on August 10, 1920, in Sevres, France. It was a 1920 treaty signed between the Allies of World War I and the Ottoman Empire. The treaty ceded large parts of Ottoman territory to: France the United Kingdom Greece and Italy The 1923 Treaty of Lausanne, which superseded the Treaty of Sèvres, ended the conflict and saw the establishment of the Republic of Turkey.
