The Anglo-Mysore Wars were a series of conflicts between the Kingdom of Mysore Ruled by Tipu Sultan and the British East India Company. Additional information The First Mysore War (1767–1769) was fought between the English East India Company and Haider Ali of Mysore. It ended with the Treaty of Madras in 1769. Second Mysore War (1780–1784): Fought between the English and Haider Ali, later Tipu Sultan; ended with the Treaty of Mangalore. Third Mysore War (1790–1792): Fought between Tipu Sultan and the English, ending with the Treaty of Seringapatam. Fourth Mysore War (1799): Fought between Tipu Sultan and the British; Tipu Sultan was killed, and Mysore was brought under British control.
