The first capital of Pakistan was Karachi, Sindh, which was selected by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It was chosen as the capital of Pakistan in 1947. Karachi was the capital of Pakistan till 1959. From 1959 to 1967, Rawalpindi was chosen as the interim capital of Pakistan.
