The Battle of Yarmouk was a major battle between the army of the Byzantine Empire and the Muslim forces under the command of Khalid bin Waleed. The Battle of Yarmouk was fought during caliphate of Hazrat Umar (RA) Location: Yarmouk River Dates: Aug 15, 636 AD – Aug 20, 636 AD The result of the battle was a complete Muslim victory which ended Byzantine rule in Syria.
